The Neue Schule Verbindend Universal Bit came about through popular demand from our riders as they found the Verbindend mouthpiece perfect for control of the shoulder and for increased lift whilst they preferred the cheek of the Universal for improved control and steering, particularly whilst jumping and in faster work.

The Verbindend Universal is fantastic for use during faster work such as jumping as it utilises alternate pressure points on the horses head generating more control whilst the mouthpiece offers the rider improved directional control and lift of the shoulders. The design aids the rider in turning and generally eliminates head tossing associated with transitions. The bit provides four rein options including the option for a curb and Pelham roundings; unlike traditional gags, the cheek of the Verbindend Universal has been cleverly designed to prevent rubbing.

The shape of the Verbindend mouthpiece encourages rein aid clarity which enables the horse to develop a more consistent contact and the mouthpiece can help alleviate tongue evasion as it creates a channel for the horses tongue furthermore enhancing communication.

The Neue Schule Verbindend Universal Bit is not dressage legal; it is available in widths 5-6 in a 16mm thickness. Due to the curvature of this mouthpiece, we recommend you order 1/4 inch larger bit width size than your regular gag.
